Union Pacific Runs Historic Steam Locomotive

Union Pacific
(UP) will run its 1944 restored No. 844 steam locomotive for community stops in Colorado and Wyoming starting July 20. No. 844 is the last steam engine built for UP and recently underwent a nearly three-year restoration at the railroad’s steam shop in Cheyenne, Wyo. 

No. 844 is scheduled to pull The Denver Post Cheyenne Frontier Days train Saturday, July 22, between Cheyenne and Denver. Steam train stops are also scheduled in Greeley, Colo. and Cheyenne, Wyo.
