Sonoma Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART) has named Julia Gonzalez communications and marketing manager, responsible for overseeing communications, public outreach programs, marketing, and media relations.
Gonzalez has more than 20 years of experience implementing comprehensive marketing and communications programs to promote public transportation and large-scale infrastructure projects. Before joining SMART, she served as communications coordinator for the City of Santa Rosa Transportation and Public Works Department.
“Julia’s experience will be instrumental as the district works to increase brand awareness, cultivate new ridership, and enhance public engagement,” said SMART General Manager Farhad Mansourian. “We are pleased to welcome her on board as part of the SMART team.”
