Portec Rail on Forbes’ Top Small Companies List

Portec Rail Products, Inc., the Pittsburgh-based railroad supply company, has made Forbes Magazine's annual list of America's 200 Best Small Companies.

Forbes Magazine annually acknowledges the financial achievements of America's leading small companies. Selection to the list is based on 12-month and five-year trends in sales, sales growth, earnings-per-share growth and return on equity. Forbes' list examines companies with sales between $5 million and $750 million.

"We are pleased to once again be part of this list of exceptional performers, especially in what continues to be a very challenging economic climate for our industry," said Richard Jarosinski, president and CEO.

Portec Rail Products makes, supplies and distributes a variety of railroad products, including rail joints, rail anchors and spikes, railway friction management products, railway wayside data collection and data management systems and load securement systems.
