Pittsburgh Pins Obtains WBE Certification

Pittsburgh Pins, Inc. has received its formal certification as a woman-owned business from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).

Nancy J. Cieslak is the owner, president and chief executive officer of Pittsburgh Pins, a manufacturer of coupler pins and other rail-related components. She has been an integral part of the railroad supply company since its formation in 2004.

Before joining Pittsburgh Pins, Cieslak worked as a systems engineer for IBM. She holds a master's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.

She serves as Northeast Chapter Director of the League of Railway Industry Women, an international organization of women professionals working for railroads, railroad supply companies and rail-affiliated companies.
