Patriot Rail Company has promoted Alín Campián to chief commercial officer of the company’s rail and ports divisions. In his new position, Campián will oversee all commercial efforts related to the transportation, services, and ports business units. His responsibilities will include the implementation of strategic marketing processes driving new growth and leveraging organizational capabilities by aligning and refocusing the commercial group.
Campián, who has more than 15 years of experience, joined Patriot Rail in 2015 as assistant vice president yield management. He most recently served as senior vice president business development and commercial strategy, supporting the commercial organization with planning, development, and execution of strategic initiatives.
Before joining Patriot rail, he held roles in finance, yield management, and business development in the telecom and energy industries, as well as at CSX Transportation and Florida East Coast Railway.
Campián earned a Master's degree in Accounting, an MA in Communication Science, and an MBA in Financial Management from North Carolina State University.
