RMI, GWI Sign New Five-Year Agreement

RMI, a provider of comprehensive rail information services to the transportation industry, on March 1 announced that it had reached a new five-year agreement with Genesee & Wyoming Inc. (GWI) for the continued use of RMI's RailConnect suite of services by GWI's North American operations.

GWI uses RailConnect modules such as Business Intelligence, Mobile Crew (mCrew) reporting, and ShipperConnect, RMI's customer web portal for shippers.

"RailConnect has provided a very reliable suite of software and services that continue to provide GWI real, measurable value. RMI has helped facilitate our positive growth through the years, and they continue to work closely with us to design and develop solutions that exceed industry and GWI requirements," said GWI's Tony Long, senior vice president, operations support.

RMI Vice President of Marketing and Services Kirk Knauff said, "We are extremely pleased to have extended our relationship with GWI's North American operations for another five years. Their commitment to the use of our products and services is very important to us. We will continue to work closely with GWI to enhance the RailConnect suite and further automate business processes. Continuing to provide GWI an integrated and automated software suite that is supported by actionable management information is essential to our RailConnect product roadmap."
