Union Pacific (UP) has appointed Clark Ponthier senior vice president supply chain and continuous improvement, effective May 29, 2018. Ponthier will be responsible for purchasing, strategic sourcing, industrial engineering activities and continuous improvement.
Ponthier has 30 years of experience in broad supply chain, manufacturing and engineering at Fortune 500 companies. He most recently served as vice president of operations and integrated supply chain–residential HVAC and supply at Ingersoll Rand, where he oversaw supply chain operations in more than 100 manufacturing sites, distribution centers and finished goods warehouses. He has also held positions at Dell, General Electric and Dow Chemical.
Ponthier earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
