The League of Railway Industry Women (LRIW) is accepting nominations through August 10 for the railroad industry's Outstanding Woman of the Year.
The LRIW, in conjunction with Progressive Railroading magazine, presents the award annually to a woman who has made noteworthy achievements in the industry. The nomination form is available for downloading at: http://www.lriw.org/pdf/2009WomanoftheYear.pdf
Past honorees have included Judy Petry from Farmrail; Donna Acors from CSX; Jalene Forbis from the California Short Line Railroad Association, and Murphy Krajenta from BNSF Railway.
