The New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) has announced that the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) will install platform and communication cases from Locust Valley to Oyster Bay as part of the Positive Train Control implementation. The work is scheduled to take place the weekend of January 13 and 14, 2018.
Buses will be substituted for trains for approximately eight hours overnight on January 12 and January 13. The track will be back in service for the 6:19 a.m. departure from Oyster Bay on Sunday, January 14.
