Hurlbut To Succeed Dimino in NS Audit Position

Thomas E. Hurlbut has been named vice president audit and compliance for Norfolk Southern Corporation (NS), with headquarters in Norfolk, effective Feb. 1. He will report to NS Chairman, President and CEO Charles W. Moorman.

Hurlbut will succeed Joseph C. Dimino, who is retiring on Jan. 31 after a 33-year career in the law and executive divisions at Norfolk Southern.

Hurlbut joined Norfolk Southern in 1992 as senior accountant. He served as manager financial reporting, director corporate accounting, director accounting research and analysis, and assistant vice president corporate accounting before being named assistant vice president internal audit in 2008.

Dimino joined Norfolk Southern in 1976. He served as general solicitor, general counsel, senior general counsel, vice president and corporate counsel, and vice president compliance, before being named vice president audit and compliance in 2008.
