Marise Stewart is joining Electro-Motive Diesel, Inc. (EMD) as director of government and industry relations and will be the locomotive builder's main point person with government agencies and officials.
She most recently served as a principal at DuffAssociates, providing counsel and strategic direction to corporate clients on government relations, issue advocacy, and brand management. Her earlier experience includes serving as director of government affairs international for Textron Inc., legislative director for Rep. Bill McCollum (R-FL), and director of the Missouri governor's Washington office.
EMD President and CEO John S. Hamilton noted that she is an important addition to the LaGrange, Ill.-based company and "will help ensure that the voice of EMD and its more than 1,600-strong U.S. employee base is heard."
