Watco Transportation Services has named Tony Cox senior chief engineer for the Central and Gulf Regions. In his new role, Cox will be responsible for planning, developing and overseeing capital and maintenance budgets as well as staffing, training and safety in those regions.
Cox joined Watco in 2007, bringing 26 years of railroad experience that included management of track departments with the Kyle Railroad Company, StatesRail and RailAmerica. His experience also includes due diligence for acquisitions, budgeting, training and working as a conductor.
Cox will work out of Watco's headquarters in Pittsburg, Kansas.
