RR Mergers & Acquisitions today announced the sale of Bayou City Rail Railroad Contractors to a Chicago-based rail holdings company led by John Edwards, former president of Fitzgerald Railcar Services.
Houston-based Bayou City Rail provides services to Class I, shortline, and private industrial rail clients throughout the U.S. Gulf Coast. Clients include Galveston Railroad, Kinder-Morgan, Martin Marietta, Texas International Terminal, and Trinity Industries, RR Mergers said.
Harlan Bench, vice president of Bayou City Rail, will continue operating the company.
