Alstom and The CoSMo Company, a technology company specializing in decision management, have announced a partnership to develop a new application for improving energy efficiency and operations optimization of a rail system. This application will allow operators to consider the entirety of their rail operations instead of assessing every part of a system separately. The application will be based on CoSMo’s software platform.
“Thanks to its large number of urban integrated systems projects under execution worldwide, Alstom has a strong experience in optimizing transport solutions,” said Eric Marie, VP systems at Alstom. “The development to be carried out in partnership with CoSMo will allow us to reinforce our simulation competencies and optimize the lifecycle of our systems for the benefit of our customers.”
“CoSMo is the global leader in decision management for complex systems,” stated Michel Morvan, co-founder and executive chairman of The CoSMo Company and CEO of CoSMo US. “I am excited to see our companies combine their knowledge to develop a world leading application for rail system operators that will allow operators to optimize their asset management, be more energy efficient, and meet their KPIs for performance and service quality.”
Hugues de Bantel, co-founder and CEO of The CoSMo Company, said, “When large companies like Alstom work with innovative startups like CoSMo the results are incredibly positive for both parties. By combining our competencies in complementary domains Alstom and CoSMo are better positioned to transform rail systems worldwide.”
